Jets’ Super Bowl safety Hudson dies at 70

Jim Hudson, a defensive back for the Jets that was part of Gang Green’s Super Bowl III championship team, has died, according to the Austin American-Statesman. Hudson was 70.

Hudson recorded an interception during the Jets’ Super Bowl win. He played for the Jets from 1965-1970 following a career as quarterback for Texas Longhorns. Hudson only played for the Jets during his NFL career, during which he intercepted 14 passes.

Hudson was named to the All-AFL First-Team by the Daily News in 1968.
